Description
THIS IS A SYNOPSIS FOR COMMERCIAL SERVICES PROCURED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FAR SUBPART 12.6. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED ON OR ABOUT FEBRUARY 18, 2002. The solicitation number is OPM-RFP-02-0007and will be issued as a Request for Proposal incorporating provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-03. This procurement is NOT a small business set aside and is classified under NAICS code 721110 with a size standard of $5 Million. This acquisition is for hotel/conference facilities and services. The contract will cover one base period and two option periods for a maximum period of 36 months. Conference dates for the option periods will always be in the month of June. The specific dates will be determined well in advance of the conference, in accordance with the terms of the contract. The preferred dates for 2003, 2004, and 2005 annual conferences are June 9-13, 2003, June 7-11, 2004 and June 6-10, 2005. The site of the conference facility must be no more than 350 driving miles from the main OPM headquarters building, 1900 E Street, NW, Washington, DC, by the most direct major route, and must offer easy airport connections to accommodate out-of-town attendees. A location outside of the Washington, DC metropolitan area is preferred. Conference attendance is estimated to be approximately 600 - 700 persons. Conference facilities and services under this contract will include: Registration Area, Private Dining Room, Plenary Sessions Room, Break Out Rooms, General Meeting Room, Seated Dinners, Continental Breakfasts, Lunches, Morning Snack, Afternoon Snack, Equipment, shuttle service to and from overflow facilities, and additional services. Offerors should also go to the FedBizOpps website to check the status of this procurement and to keep current with any amendments may be issued. This is the offeror's responsibility. Proposals in response to this solicitation are to be submitted to: U.S. Office of Personnel Management, Theodore Roosevelt Building, 1900 E Street, NW, Room 1342, Washington, DC 20415. All offers are expected to be due by March 11, 2002, 3:30PM EST.
