Description
NA This solicitation is set aside for small businesses. Estimated cost of construction is $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00. The assigned NAICS is 234930 (SIC is 1629) with a Size Standard of $27,500,000.00. Construction completion is 365 calendar days. Pro ject consists of construction of a new columbarium with 7,627 precast niches set in a reinforced concrete structure. This is the fourth phase in a series of five phases of columbarium construction. The structure is clad in limestone with marble niche mar kers. Roadwork is concrete curb and gutters with asphalt paving. Walks consists of flagstone and precast concrete pavers. Site work items are: an irrigation system, electrical service, turf replacement, and project screening. Some construction items wi ll be options. The site is adjacent to active inturnments and will require work stoppages and noise reduction during columbarium. This socicitation will be proviced in an electronic format, free of charge, to all registered plan holders. The media throu gh which the government chooses to issue this solicitation will be on the web site; this solicitation will not be issued in paper. Contractors may view and/or download solicitation information from the internet at https://ebs.nab.usace.army.mil. All cont ractors must go to this web site to register as a plan holder. In order to register each contractor must have a valid Dun and Bradstreet number and cage code number assigned for the specific location being registered and also be registered in the central contractor database. Each contractor need only register once for each solicitation. Only registered plan holders will be provided the solicitation. This procurement will be advertised as a Request for Proposal and will be evaluated for Best Value for aw ard of the project. The technical evaluation criteria will be established in the RFP. In order to comply with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered fo r award of a Federal contract. For information regarding CCR registration, the CCR Web site can be accessed at http://www.ccr2000.com. Other information regarding registration can be obtained through CCR Assistance Center (CCRAC) at 1-888-227-2423. A pape r form for registration may be obtained from the DoD Electronic Commerce Information Center at 1-800-334-3414. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about 19 February 2002 with proposals due on or about 29 March 2002.
