Description
Thirteenth Common Test and Training Range Architecture (CTTRA) Workshop The Office of the Secretary of Defense has sponsored a series of workshops to support the development of selected Central Test and Evaluation Investment Program (CTEIP) projects. These CTTRA workshops were begun in April 1994 and have provided invaluable technical and programmatic direction to efforts to improve Department of Defense (DOD) test and training range capabilities by: (1) promoting the interoperability, sharing, and reuse of resources essential to cost effectively create the distributed test environments needed to test today??s advanced weapons systems, and (2) improving the DOD test and training infrastructure to support the size, scale and scope of testing and training identified in the Joint Vision. Past CTTRA workshops focused on a common architecture for testing and training called the Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA), being developed by the Foundation Initiative 2010 (FI 2010) project. At CTTRA XII the focus was expanded to include an enhanced tracking system for the test ranges, being developed by the Enhanced Range Applications Program (EnRAP) at Eglin AFB, Fl. During CTTRA XIII EnRAP again will be presented and will center on finalizing the requirements for the capabilities to be developed by EnRAP. The three main requirement topic areas for the EnRAP will be Data links, TSPI and Miniaturization. The thirteenth CTTRA workshop will be help in New Orleans, LA, on February 27 ?C March 1, 2002. Location will be the Renaissance Hotel, 817 Common Street, New Orleans, LA 70130. Telephone is (504) 525-1111, (504) 525-0688 (Fax).
