Description

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with Scientech Incorporated for maintenance and upgrade support services of its already acquired Safety Monitor Real-Time Risk Software under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106. The proposed purchase order will be a commercial item award prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice of intent is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation of offers. This software is used in NRC training courses to demonstrate the risk associated with out-of-service equipment, changes in environmental conditions, maintenance activities, and changes in plant operating states. The Safety Monitor Real-Time Risk Software is a proprietary product of Scientech. As such, Scientech does not license other vendors to provide maintenance for is software product and is the sole provider of maintenance. The period of performance is one year from date of award. Interested firms must submit written capability statements demonstrating their ability to perform the required services to the above address not later than 10 calendar days from the date this announcement appears in the Federal Business Opportunities. Capability statements that do not fully demonstrated the respondent's ability to satisfy the requirements above will not be considered.
