- Description
- Music reader advisory, reference, and circulation services are provided by the National Library Services Music Section. NLS music library services are a major resource for blind, partially sighted, and physically handicapped musicians, music students, and others who enjoy music. Informational services are delivered by way of the telephone, electronic mail, or regular mail. Music materials are sent to patrons and returned by postage-free mail. The Library of Congress, National Library Services for the Blind and Physically Handicap has a requirement for a professional music librarian consultant to perform services to work eight hours a day, five-days a week to perform live reader advisory and reference services. Additional mail advisory and reference service and follow-ups to live telephone services; coordination of telephone requests and circulation services with Office Automation Assistants and work study students.
