Description

NA Launiupoko Shore Protection Project, Island of Maui, Hawaii. This solicitation is an unrestricted procurement. The project includes installation of a protective revetment with a crest elevation of +12-feet (MLLW) along the shore line just north of the La uniupoko roadside park at two reaches totaling approximately 500 feet in total length. Work entails the grading of the eroded shoreline surfaces to provide an adequate base for the revetment. Installation and compaction of fill material to establish the proper alignment and slope for the revetment, installation of a geotextile fabric over the fill material, installation of a two foot thick underlayer of 50-150 lb stones and the installation of single armor layer of 1600-2500 lb stones with 3-5 ton toe sto nes, IAW plans and specifications. Project also includes the installation of guardrail along the ocean side of the highway in the project area. This solicitation will utilize electronic bid sets (EBS). The estimated cost of the proposed project is betwe en $1 Million and $5 Million. Solicitation to be issued O/A February 4, 2002. Hard copies of plans and specifications will NOT be available for this project. Solicitation documents will be provided on Compact Disks-Read Only Memory (CD-ROM) at a non-ref undable charge of $67.92. Solicitation documents shall be requested through any of the following methods only: a) mail requests to: Document Automation & Production Service (DAPS), Attn: Army Corps Solicitation, 1025 Quincy Ave. Suite 200, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii 96860-4512; b) via courier service (Fedex, UPS, etc.) to: Document Automation & Production Service (DAPS), Attn: Army Corps Solicitation, Building 550, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii 96860; or c) via facsimile (if paying by credit card) to (808) 473-2604. Re quests must state company name, address, telephone number, facsimile number, solicitation number, project title, and company designation (prime contractor, subcontractor, supplier, or plan room). Envelope front must show the solicitation number. Checks s hall be made out payable to Superintendent of Documents. Provide separate check for each project requested. Checks containing payment for multiple projects will be returned to requestor without action. Facsimile requests must state (1) the above require d company information, and (2) cardholder?s name, account number, and card expiration date. VISA and MasterCard are the only credit cards accepted. Firms requesting air express service shall furnish completed airbills showing recipient?s name, company na me, telephone number, company billing account number, and type of delivery required. Firms with foreign delivery addresses shall provide completed commercial or corporate invoices in addition to the completed airbills. Failure to supply completed airbill s and commercial or corporate invoices (if applicable) will result in solicitation documents being sent via regular US mail. Failure to provide any of the foregoing information, documents, and/or payment may delay mailing of solicitation documents. Solic itation documents are not available for purchase or pick-up over the counter at DAPS. Please allow up to five days from the date DAPS receives requests for solicitation documents to be mailed out.
