- NA Operation of Air National Guard Category III Supply Account (for LC-130 Aircraft and Transportation Function Parts) at Christchurch, New Zealand and a seasonal Forward Supply Point in McMurdo Station, Antarctica. Contractor shall provide all necessary equ ipment, labor, materials, services, supervision and personnel required to support authorized customers through the system and processes of the USAF Standard Base Supply System (SBSS) and Navy Financial Inventory Requisition System Tracking (FIRST). The sup ply account and forward supply point will be the sole means of aviation system support to the LC-130 Aircraft of the 109th Airlift Wing, New York Air Guard, 1 ANG Road, Scotia, NY 12302, performing flying missions in support of the National Science Foundat ion (NSF) (as part of the U.S. Antarctic Program and Operation Deep Freeze). In performing the basic functions of a Standard Base Supply System, the contractor will be responsible to determine requirements, requisition, inventory, receive, store, distrib ute/issue, inspect, account, research/maintain records, provide customer service, conduct training, provide administration and management, quality control, and off-line supoprt capability. This solicitation is being 100% set-aside for Native American, Min ority Owned Business as referenced by 43 USC 1626(e).The incumbent contractor for this mission falls under this socio-economic category. The technical expertise displayed by SMI in performance of the current contract greatly contributed to the sucessful f lying mission in Antarctica. The flying mission in Antarctica is one of the most dangerous missions in the Air Force and requires 100% accuracy in the supply of spare parts to remote regions. SMI contributed to the overall success and safety of the curren t mission and posesses the technical expertise, adapability and professional competence required. See Note 22. The NAICS Code Applicable to this solicitaion is 561614 with a size standard of $5,000,000. The propopsed contract shall be in effect for a peri od of one (1) base year, with four (4) one-year option periods to be exercised at the discretion of the Government as per FAR 52.217-9.
