Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for proposal (RFP). The 11th Contracting Squadron intends to procure solicitation number F4022013460200 as a sole source, Firm Fixed price contract. The award date is expected to be 15 Feb 02. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-27. The negotiation authority for this requirement is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). The NAICS Code assigned to this project is 514191 and the size standard is $5,000,000.00. The period of performance will begin 12 months after receipt of order. The contract is to be awarded to United Press International News Wire Service, a large business located in Washington, DC. The contractor will provide Worldwide News Wire and Broadcast Communications services for up to 25 nodes on the local area network at the National Military Command Center (NMCC) for The Air Force Pentagon Communications Agency (AFPCA/COSP) located at 1600 Air Force Pentagon, Washington, District of Columbia. Additionally, the offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (ALT I) (FEB 2001), and DFARS 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (NOV 1995), with this offer. The contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for award. Contractors may register in the CCR by visiting the CCR website at www.ccr2000.com. Solicitation closing date is 11 Feb 2002. All offers must be received by 10:00 AM EST.
