- Description
- NASA/GRC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Modification of CAD Services Software. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from TRANSCENDATA INC. only. The purchase of engineering services from International TechneGroup Incorporated (ITI) - TranscenData is required due to their unique expertise and sole access to computer source code that is required to perform the Geometry Attribute CAD task. ITI's software is unique and cannot be purchased from alternate sources. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Organizations that believe they are capable of performing the described work may submit their capabilities and qualification IN WRITING to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 PM January 30, 2002. Such submittals will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. This is not a competitive announcement--it is a sole source announcement. Please do not request a copy of the solicitation--No competitive solicitation will be issued as a result of this announcement. If the government decides that this work will be competed, a competitive announcement and occupying solicitation will be issued at that time. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. Please submit all communications IN WRITING or BY EMAIL Leahmarie.Stervagi@grc.nasa.gov not later than 4:30 PM January 21, 2002.
