- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking capable sources of providing message queuing oriented middleware that runs natively on the OS/390 platform. This product must interact seamlessly with all SSA?s computing platforms including but not limited to OS/390, ZOS, NT, AS400, Sun Solaris, UNIX, and RS6000. This can provide a means for SSA?s business partners to interact with SSA. This project will provide the required software upgrades to transition this software running on a OS/390 platform to a Z/OS platform to a Z/OS platform, ongoing maintenance support, a vehicle for acquiring additional licenses and unlimited central processing unit (CPU) upgrades through the term of the contract. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: 1) One single API is consistent across platforms and is available for the various programming languages that SSA utilizes on their various computing platforms. This API must be available in the following programming languages, Java, C++, COBOL, Assembler, Visual Basic, etc. 2) Once and only once assured delivery of messages. 3) Support for persistent and non-persistent messages. 4) Triggering to launch a task or program upon receipt of a message. 5) Must be able to interface with IBM?s CICS Transaction Server. 6) Must have the ability to run in both batch and TSO programs on OS390 and ZOS. 7) DB2 stored procedures environment must be able to update DB2 and messages in a single logical unit of work. 8) Also, there must be message encryption/decryption capabilities. 9) Also, XML support. Interested parties are invited to submit information concerning their capabilities, experience, and other pertinent data. Vendors should provide the names and contact information of customers to whom they have sold the products proposed. Also, those responding should indicate whether their products are available on the GSA Schedule. Pricing data may be submitted. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of data received. No contract award will be made on the basis of responses received; however, this information will be used in SSA?s assessment of capable sources.
