- Synopsis: This is a noncompetitive acquisition to Litton Systems, Inc., Poly-Scientific Division, Blacksburg VA, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other suppliers or services will satisfy agency requirements. This acquisition is a "requirements contract" for a basic year and one annual option. Repair of NSN1270-01-472-6301AY, Slip Ring and Deroll Gear Assy with Seal and Electrical Mod, P/N: 717513640-079. The USAF BEQ for each year is 50 ea. The FMS BEQ for each year is 1 ea. This acquisition is applicable to the LANTIRN program. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 01 Feb 2002 with an approximate response date of 01 Mar 2002. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the Contracting Officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
