Description
It is the intent of the VA Healthcare System, Boston, MA, Acquisition and Materiel Management Service, 150 S. Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02130-4893 to enter into sole source negotiations with Digital Voice Corporation, 13700 Hutton Drive, Farmers Ranch, TX for technical consultation, troubleshooting and resolution for the Digital Voice Corporation DBX5000 Telephone switches; Digital Speech Systems, Inc. TMX 32/5000 Auto Attended/Voice Mail Systems and CommOne Call Accounting Systems with directory and cable management at the Brockton VA Campus and West Roxbury VA Campus. Twenty-four hour, seven day a week telephone technical support is required. Needed repair parts (at current production revision level) must be provided to the medical center within 24 hours. Pricing structure for repair parts will include a credit for returned malfunctioning parts. Standard (non-site specific) software patches and upgrades will be provided at no cost. Technicians must be training certified by DVC on the current software release and hardware system installed at the Brockton and West Roxbury VA Campuses. In the case of major systems failure, the contractor must be able to provide on-site technical staff within 24 hours and provide a minimum replacement switch within 48 hours. This is a sole source requirement and if no affirmative written responses are received that a comparable source is available, a sole source contract will be negotiated. Responses indicating an interest in this acquisition must be received within 14 calendar days. If no responses are received by January 25, 2002 negotiations will begin on January 28, 2002. Interested parties must submit descriptive literature with their responses proving their capability to respond to the requirements. Training certificates that show technicians are certified by DVC to work on systems must be provided. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals.
