Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE. The NIOSH, Appalachian Laboratory for Occupational Safety and Health, 1095 Willowdale Road, Morgantown, WV intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Bruker Instruments, Inc., Service and Engineering, Billerica, MA under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 for a one year maintenance agreement for an existing Bruker DMS300SWB NMR Spectrometer for a period of 2/1/2002 through 1/31/2003. The service agreement will provide full coverage which includes both the console and magnet of the instrument. One preventive maintenance visit will be scheduled during the year. Labor and parts for repairs are provided at no additional charge and Bruker will provide guaranteed overnight shipping of any parts that are needed for repairs at no additional cost. After repairs are complete, Bruker will pay for the return of defective components to their facility. Agreement includes repair of any Bruker manufactured probes that fail, and a repair and maintenance activities logs for each instrument covered. This is not a formal solicitation. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Bruker Instruments, Inc., Billerica, MA. Organizations may respond within 10 days after publication of this notice and demonstrate that they have the expertise and capabilities necessary to meet the stated requirements. Forward evidence of capabilities and supporting information to : Brenda L. Goodwin, Reference: #2002-Q-00318, DHHS, PHS, CDC, NIOSH, ALOSH, 1095 Willowdale Road, Morgantown, WV 26505. Information received will generally be for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 10 days, award will be made to Bruker Instruments. All information received will be considered by the Government.
