Description

ATTN: Department of Veterans Affairs, Miami, VA Medical Center, 1201 N.W. 16th Street 33125. Description: It is the intent of the Miami, VA Acquisition Center to enter into sole source negotiations with Cordis Corp. 14320 N.W. 60th St. Miami Lakes, FL for Smart Stents various sizes. Having a consignment agreement allows us to have larger inventory without incurring costs. Once a patient is on the table for a cardiac procedure and it is noted that the patient has peripheral vascular disease, Peripheral Angioplasty and/or Stents surgery will be performed. This allows for efficiency in patient care and reduces the associated with intervascular procedures. This is a sole source requirement and if no affirmative written responses are received that a comparable source is available, a sole source contract will be negotiated. Responses indicating an interest in this acquisition must be received with 14 calendar days. If no response are received by January 24, 2002 negotiations will begin on January 25 2002. Interested parties must submit descriptive literature with their responses proving their capability to respond to the requirements. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals.
