Description

The Food and Drug Administration,(FDA), Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM), has a requirement to purchase various types of E-Test Strips on a sole source basis from AB BioDisk North America, Inc., Piscataway, NJ. These strips are: 5100-0168 - Azithromycin; 5100-0868 - Ciprofloxacin; 5100-0758 - Chloramphenicol; 5100-0958 - Clindamycin; 5100-0958 - Clindamycin; 5100-1058 - Erthyromycin; 5100-1258 - Gentamicine low; 5100-1658 - Naladixic Acid; and 5100-2258 - Tetracycline. These test strips will be used in the under the program entitled "National Antimicrobial Resistence Monitoring System (NARMS) which is administered by the CVM for the national surveillance for antimircobial resistance of foodborne pathogens. It is the Government's understanding that these items can only be obtained by the above-referenced company. Therefor, this requirement will be awarded on a sole source basis and no solicitation will result. This announcement is for informational purposes only.
