- Description
- Department of Health and Human Services, Agency for Health care Research and Quality (AHRQ), has a requirement to obtain an AHRQ site license for the 2000 MarketScan Commercial Claims & Encounters Database. The purpose of this site license is to answer special research requests from Congress and Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE) concerning the health of the nation, and to help benchmark health expenditures in Medical Expenditures Panel Survey (MEPS). The Government knows of only one source, The MEDSTAT Group, Inc. 4301 Connecticut Ave., NW, Washington, DC capable of providing a site license for the stated database. This proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested parties capable of meeting this need shall respond, in writing, addressing their ability to meet the stated objectives of the project. All responses received within 10 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this requirement as a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement following review of responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Requests for solicitation packages will be considered nonresponsive. All submissions are to be sent to Sophia Janus, at the address above, referencing 02R000088. This acquisition is being made utilizing FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
