Description
NASA/MSFC is hereby soliciting information for potential sources for LOGISTICS SERVICES which includes the following 14 services: 1. Mail Services consisting of pickup, processing, and delivery of internal and external mail. 2. Flight hardware services consisting of acquisition of flight hardware parts and materials and their storage and issuance. 3. Environment services consisting of hazardous waste management; pollution prevention and hazardous material management; spill response; storm water management; and air management. 4. Traffic management services consisting of packing and crating service and freight/traffic management. 5. Research Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) maintenance and repair services consisting of preventive and remedial maintenance of the following types of equipment: printing, binding, and bookbinding equipment; photographic equipment; office equipment; sound recording and reproducing equipment; video recording and reproducing equipment; meterological equipment; chemical analysis instruments; physical properties testing equipment; enviromental chambers and related equipment; electrical and electonic properties measuring and testing instruments; water purification equipment; specialized semiconductor microcircuit and printed circuit board manufacturing equipment; biomedical and surgical equipment; special industry machinery; metal finishing equipment; other RDT&E equipment; and portable fire extinguishers. 6. Motor pool services consisting of personnel transportation services and special purpose equipment motor pool operations including preventative and remedial maintenance of the following types of equipment: compressors, construction equipment, mobile cranes, forklifts, generators, personnel lifts, pumps, scooters, trailers, welders, and special purpose vehicles. 7. Storage support services consisting of storing equipment and material in controlled access storage areas. 8. Supply Services consisting of accounting for all supply assets purchased including their acquisition, receipt, movement, cataloging, location, issue, removal, condition, and usage. 9. Receiving services consisting of requiring all received assets be accounted for by confirming acquisition, movement, location, issue, removal, and condition. 10. Move services consisting of: relocating assets staged at on-site, local warehouses, and other near-site locations; move activities associated with special events and emergency activities; and accounting for move requests, movement of assets, location of assets, issuance of assets, and condition of assets. 11. Disposal Services consisting of property disposal services, reutilization screening services, and disposal sales support. 12. Equipment Support Services consisting of accounting for requests for equipment support services, bringing a piece of equipment on record and finalizing user accountability, performing walk-through inspections, and accounting for loaned and transfered equipment. 13. Inventory Support Services consisting of cyclic physical inventory support services and special inventory support services. 14. Food services consisting of operating three cafeterias and catering special events. The Government is contemplating the use of GSA's Multiple Award Schedule 874V, Logistics Worldwide, to award the requirement. However, NASA/MSFC is seeking capabilites from small, small disadvantaged and women-owned small businesses for the purposes of determining the appropriate level of competition and/or small business subcontracting goals for this requirement. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. Interested offerors/vendors having the specialized capabilities to meet the above requirement (or portions thereof) should submit a capability statement of 10 pages or less indicating the ability to perform all aspects of the appropriate effort described herein. Responses must include the following: 1) name and address of firm; 2) size of business including annual revenue for the past 3 years for NAICS Code 561210, and number of employees; 3) ownership; whether they are large, small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), HUBZONE, and/or woman-owned; 4) affiliate information: parent company, joint venture partners, potential teaming partners; 5) number of years in business; 6) list of customers covering the past five years (highlight relevant work performed, contract numbers, contract type, dollar value of each procurement; 7) Point of contact - names of two principals to contact, including titles, address, and telephone number). This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited.
