- The following amendments are made to this synopsis: Delete reference to 52.209-1, Qualification Requirements. This is a sole source requirement to Parker Hannifin. Also, New/Unused surplus will be accepted. Government surplus is preferred, but Commercial is acceptable, providing it meets military/federal specifications for its application. Item to be manufactured by Parker Hannifin. All tests will be conducted IAW 5L6-3-31-174. Item: 0001 Noun: Liquid Qty. Indicator NSN: 6680-01-342-7698RK P/N: 211-009-005 Applicable to: C-130 QTY: 23 EA Description: Indicator, Liquid Qty: Dim; 2 inch x 5.2 inches in length. Provides fuel quantity indication. Sole Source: Parker-Hannifin Destination: Tinker AFB, OK FB2039 Required Delivery Date: April, 2003 Note: Faxed solicitation requests can be submitted to the buyer, Lori Anderson, Tinker AFB, (405) 739-3462. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 45 days (30 if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firms listed. Specifications, plans or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. Based on market research the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
