- Description
- NA White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) seeks a control solution to take advantage of newer technology, functionality, communications, and flexibility, and to upgrade the existing Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) system of the Water Supply Control System. The control solution shall include all necessary engineering, hardware, software, installation, programming, system integration, training, and asset management to constitute a complete turnkey system. WSMR requires the existing system be upgraded from an All en-Bradley PLC-2 system to an Allen-Bradley PLC-5, a hot-swappable system of appropriate size and I/O scanning capabilities, or the equivalent. The existing system and the required upgrades are detailed in the complete scope of work posted at http://www.w smr.army.mil/docpage/pages/sol_stat.htm. The existing Input/Output structure shall be maintained to the extent allowed by new technology. This purchase description is based upon the Allen-Bradley system, but it is not a sole-source requirement for an All en-Bradley system. The engineering, installation, application programming, system integration, testing, training, and asset management are considered to have greater value than the hardware and software. However, offerors must assume all responsibility f or the proposal of any system other than an Allen-Bradley system, including all additional compatibility requirements. Source selection will be based upon best value to the Government. A site visit will be scheduled. System acceptance will be based upon operational testing of the upgraded system.
