Description
NA The Huntington District Corps of Engineers intends to procure a contract for Limited Geotechnical with Drilling Services. The contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, supplies, and materials to determine the type, nature, characteristics, and pres ent extent and condition of various materials located in the Huntington District; to include much of the State of West Virginia, about one half the State of Ohio and smaller portions of Kentucky, Virginia and North Carolina. The Huntington District is a p art of the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division (CELRD). The contract will be a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery type contract, competitively negotiated NTE $3,000,000. The contract will be awarded for a base year with two option years. The award wi ll be made as a whole to the offeror whose proposal conforms to the solicitation and has been determined to be the most advantageous to the Government, all factors considered. The contractor will be required to provide one drilling rig to the work site wi thin 24 hours of notification; two rigs within 72 hours of notification; and six rigs within a week of notification. All responsive proposals will be evaluated utilizing the following factors (in descending order of importance): 1. Specialized Experience and Technical Competence; 2. Professional Qualifications; 3. Past Performance in Similar Work; 4. Capacity (Ability of Offeror to Provide Required Physical Plant and Supplies); 5. Supervision and Administration; 6. Safety; 7. Quality Control; 8. Location o f the firm in the General Geographic Area. Cost will be the deciding factor between qualified applicants. Solicitation documents will be issued on 21 December 2001. There will be no charge for solicitation documents. This solicitation should be requeste d online at www.lrh.usace.army.mil/CT.
