Description

NA The Army Corps Jacksonville District plans to award on a sole source basis a purchase order for Monitoring Right Whales for the Coastal Waters of Northeast Florida. The Army Corps of Engineers has the responsibility for maintaining a number of inlets betw een Fernandina Cape Canaveral Florida. These inlets include Fernanadina Harbor. Kings Bay (St. Mary?s River entrance channel). Jacksonville Harbor (St. Johns River entrance channel),St. Augustine Inlet. Matanzas, Ponce de Leon Inlet, and Canaveral Harbor e ntrance channel. These coastal waters off southeastern Georgia and northern Florida, where these inlets are located are the only known calving and wintering grounds for the endangered North Atlantic RIGHT WHALE.The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of int ent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Number notes 22 applies
