Description
Security systems. Supply, install, service and maintain (on-call and scheduled preventative maintenance servicing) security systems located in federally owned and leased facilities throughout the United States, its territories and possessions. Security systems include but are not limited to the following: controlled access systems, closed circuit television (CCTV) systems, intercommunications systems, intrusion detection and sensing/signaling systems (i.e., motion detectors, door contact switches, heat detectors, duress or panic button; switches, etc.). These system installations will generally also require both local and Central Station Alarm Monitoring capabilities, electric strike installations, emergency lighting systems installations and possibly other minor locksmithing requirements. The contractor shall have a procedure for inspection of equipment installation and maintenance work done by the contractor's technicians. Resulting contract will be an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract with one base year and four option years. All options will be evaluated for award purposes. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated issue date of the solicitation is on or about December 21, 2001. Transitional services are expected to commence on August 1, 2002. The solicitation will be available on or after December 21, 2001, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The only documents not available in the solicitation are collective bargaining agreements and wage determinations. These documents will be available upon written request to the Contracting Officer at: Craig Sager-JSC, U.S. Marshals Service, Washington, DC 20530. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. The http://www.fedbizopps.gov web site will provide instructions for downloading the solicitation. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the web site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the web site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
