Description

This project is for monitoring and maintenance of Primary Sampling Units (PSUs) within the Gifford Pinchot National Forest in 2002, the Olympic National Forest in 2003 and the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie in 2004. For 2002, Panel A (a 3.4 mile grid pattern) will be included for an approximate total of 183 PSUs. For 2003 (year 2), the Government currently estimates 81 PSUs on the Olympic National Forest and for 2004 (year 3), estimates 203 PSUs on the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. PSUs are located on both wilderness and non-wilderness lands. Work will also include 1) recording GPS coordinates for each PSU by use of Government-supplied real time GPS units, 2) supplying remeasurement data in Government specified digital format on all Forests, 3) furnishing digital photo point data and 4) for the Olympic and Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forests (years 2 and 3) collection of Marbled Murrelet habitat data. The solicitation will be issued as a Request For Proposal, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract with a minimum of 178 PSUs. Estimated issue date of the solicitation is or about February 1, 2002. Response date listed is estimated. Estimated start work date is approximately May 1, 2002. Contract to be completed no later than September 30, 2002 for the first year of work on Gifford Pinchot NF. NAICS code is 115310. Price evaluation preference will be given to HUBzone small business concerns.
