Description
NA Offeror shall provide all services, personnel, material, audio-visual aids, training aids, and, travel and lodging necessary to revise/update and present a course of instruction entitled ?Dredging: Contract Administration.? This requirement is firm fixe d price with a base year and one option year. This solicitation DACW87-02-Q-0007 is scheduled to be released as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) on or about 2 Jan 02. The NAICS code is 611430 and the FSC code is U009. This acquisition is 100 percent set as ide for small business. Small business size standard is $5M. For the purposes of this solicitation any concern whose gross annual receipts over the past 3 years does not exceed $5,000,000 is considered a small business. The details of this course are as follows: Through lectures, group discussions, case studies and examination, this course provides the student with information on how to successfully administer dredging contracts and the problems associated with the activity. Included in classroom disc ussions is how dredging projects are engineered, the operational aspects of various types of dredges, the factors involved in project management, the safety aspects of dredging and dredge equipment, and the basics of dredge estimating. The class length i s 24 hours and there are 30 students per course session. Dates are as follows: Base Year: Session 02-01, 14-16 May 2002, Huntsville, AL; Option Year FY 04, Session 04-01, 18-20 May 2004. To be considered eligible for award the successful contractor m ust be registered with the DOD Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov) and provide a DUNS number which may be obtained through information at www.dnb.com or by calling 800-234-3867. Offeror should provide their tax identification number, DUNS numbe r, CAGE code, street address, telephone number, and a point of contact with their proposal. This is NOT a request for quotation (RFQ). It is anticipated that the RFQ will be available, to all interested parties, for viewing and downloading/obtaining from the Internet website at http://www.hnd.usace.army.mil/EBS/ASP/AdvertisedSolicitations.asp on or about 2 Jan 02.
